Mila Squash — Privacy Policy

Who this applies to

This policy describes how the Mila Squash application (package com.mannamila.milasquash), published by MannaMila LLC ("MannaMila", "we", "us", or "our"), handles data when you run it on a Meta Quest 3 headset. It covers only the Mila Squash app itself, not the Meta Quest platform, your Meta account, or any other app.

Mila Squash is a single-player squash training tool. It runs with the standard Quest motion controllers in a standing/stationary play space.

Summary

The launch waitlist is separate

This policy covers the Mila Squash app on Meta Quest 3. If you choose to join the website's optional launch and availability list, that response is separate from the app and is covered by the Waitlist Privacy Notice. Joining the list does not create a Mila Squash account or connect an email address to in-app training activity.

What we collect and why

1. Crash and performance diagnostics (Sentry)

To find and fix crashes and performance problems, Mila Squash can send technical diagnostic reports to Sentry, a third-party error-monitoring service.

These reports are configured for data minimization. By default:

What a report can contain is limited to technical information needed to diagnose a problem: crash and error details (such as stack traces and exception information), device/runtime context (such as app version, headset model, and operating-system version), and a small set of bounded, pre-approved ("allowlisted") performance and product breadcrumbs. The app does not send raw headset/controller motion, racket-swing histories, your saved serve history, account identifiers, emails, avatars, screenshots, or free-form text to Sentry.

The crash/performance monitor does not start automatically; it initializes only when you have the relevant option enabled.

2. Product analytics (Amplitude)

To understand which features players use and whether the app performs well on the headset, Mila Squash can send sparse, summarized product-usage events to Amplitude, a third-party analytics service.

These events are deliberately coarse — summaries and counts, not raw data. Examples of the kinds of events sent are: a session performance summary, a drill summary, a swing/contact summary, and a safety-warning summary. Events are tied to a pseudonymous, per-install identifier that is not your name and not your Meta account.

The app does not upload to Amplitude any: raw diagnostic streams, headset or controller pose/motion streams, ball or racket trajectory streams, video, audio, room geometry, full replay data, or exact coaching measurements. Those remain on the device. Event properties prefer buckets and counts over exact values, and the analytics layer rejects unknown events and strips any field that is not on its approved list.

You can turn product analytics off (see Your controls below); when it is off, no analytics events are uploaded.

3. On-device serve history and personal bests (local only)

When saved serve history is enabled, Mila Squash stores your completed-session serve summaries and personal bests locally on the headset, in encrypted on-device storage. This data is saved on this headset only and is never uploaded to us or to any third party.

This local history is technical training data (such as compact per-serve result summaries and best-score buckets). It does not contain raw motion streams, full replays, capture payloads, free-form text, your name, or any account identifier.

Because it is stored under the local device profile, anyone using the same headset profile can view, clear, or reset it. Encrypted local data may persist across normal app updates, but we do not promise it will survive uninstalling the app, clearing app data, changing the app's signing identity, replacing the device, or manually transferring files. There is no cloud backup of this data.

What we do NOT collect

Mila Squash does not collect, process, or transmit any of the following:

Your controls

You can manage your data at any time from inside the app, under Options → Data & Privacy:

Destructive actions use a two-step confirmation to prevent accidental deletion.

Turning analytics off prevents Amplitude uploads; turning crash reporting and performance diagnostics off prevents those Sentry reports; these controls are independent of one another and of your local saved history.

There is no data-export feature in this version. Serve history stays on the device and is not exportable from the app.

How your data is shared

Data retention and deletion

Children

Mila Squash is not directed to children. It is intended for users 13 years of age and older, consistent with the minimum age for using a Meta Quest headset and account. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app changes. When we make a material change, we will update the effective date above and publish the revised policy at the same hosted URL. The hosted version is kept consistent with the app's in-app Data & Privacy disclosure.
